Francisco Arias was on Soccer Congress last week with Arrigo Sacchi. Arrigo Sacchi is a former head coach of the Italy National Football Team (1991 - 1996), and Twice manager of A.C. Milan (1987 - 1991, 1996 - 1997).
As manager of the Italian national team he reached the 1994 World Cup final, losing to Brazil on penalties. At club level, most notably he managed A.C. Milan. His first spell there was a notable success, with domestic trophies - winning the Serie A title in 1988, the Italian Super Cup in 1989 - developing into success at European level and beyond: the European Cup in 1989 and 1990, and the European Super Cup and Intercontinental Cup in 1990 and 1991.
He has also managed Parma AC (1985 - 1987, 2001) and Atlético Madrid (1998 - 1999). In 2005 he was the director of football at Real Madrid (replace Valdano), but left the post after the Real Madrid head coach, Vanderlei Luxemburgo was fired for a string of bad results, notably a 3-0 defeat by arch rivals Barcelona F.C. and succeeded by Mijatovic´
